Teacher of the supplementary / remedial lesson may cancel the session if:
there valid reason(s) to do so AND
approval has been granted by the IP HOD of the affected supplementary / remedial
teacher is aware of unavailability ahead of time AND
there is sufficient time to issue a cancellation letter to the parents via Parents Gateway.
The cancellation letter should be reach parents at least 2 work days before the date of the supplementary / remedial lesson.
This ensures sufficient time for teacher to collate responses from parents,
so that parents to make alternative plans to fetch their children from school.
If the above conditions are not met, teacher should
Inform the IP HOD of the affected supplementary / remedial, AND
personally make alternate arrangements, e.g. seeking colleagues' help to swap or cover for the session
